Some of the Tibs do have different flanges on the exhaust. I am not sure what years come with what but I believe that is all you have to do is change the flange. You should be able to take it to an exhaust shop and they can make it fit.

only the 2001's have a different flange... anyways... return the pacesetter... JUNK... they rust really fast... nasty sound... and no power gains over stock... practically stock... just with a nasty resonator tip.

There are 2 bolt flanges, and 3 bolt flanges. Your car has one, and needs the other. As far as pacesetter is concerned:

I have heard alot of people bash this exhaust system, and I have heard several people enjoy it. As to it not adding any power, I dont believe that... it is bigger piping, and it is manderal bent (if i am not mistaken) and a brand name, or a price tag doesnt change physics, but the only thing I could see maybe hurting its design is that canister, I dont know how well constructed it is for flow. If you are somewhere where it snows alot, it will probably rust pretty quick on you if you dont do something... I dont know if a monthly wd40 spray down would help you or not. The exhaust system IS going to rust, and prolly at most last you two-three years (from what I gather).

If I where you I would return it (if you can). and cough up another 130 bucks and get the kore, or maybe obx, or hks. Other guys wil recomend other brands, but I dont trust the pacesetter.

Another thing I dont trust is guys that freaking mean to imply you are stupid because you purchased this exhaust, and dont offer any assistance.

I just looked on my gf's 97fx, you have a 2 bolt flange, unless they changed mid-year on them.

The Tiburon exhausts used 2 bolt flanges through 2000. In 2001, some have 2, some have 3 (much like the slight differences in the shifters when shopping for a short throw).
