Default problem with my driver side door

what happened is that i am drving and then my light inside the car turns on the and the chime goes off saying that the driver side door is open b/c i can see the light on the door lit up. when i pull the door towards me it stops and then proably like 5 minutes later it starts up again. anyone knows how to fix it it
i know that it has something to do with that little button it presses but that is all i know

take off the rubber piece on the door trigger... take a phillips screw driver and remove the 1 screw... look at the connectors... there should be 2 wires... if all good screw it all back on.... make sure the screw is tite.. i unno other wise if that don't fix it

Your doors is probably not totally flush against the sensor. Has this always been like this since you owned the car or just appeared?

Okay well then I am thinking its the sensor itself. Try pushing it in yourslef but wiggling your finger around to see if it does it. Cry taking the rubber cover off and see if there is gunk stuck arond it and check the connectors. That is really all I could thinking of. It has to be a faulty sensor. I say go to a junkyard and get a different one. But finding tibs in junkyards is hard... www.copartfinder.com can help you out though.
