5th gear too short!!!

Hi there, I don´t know if this has been covered before (i did a search and find hundreds of posts but not 1 that answers me).
As you know our cars have a very short 5th gear (in my car with 205/50R16 75mph@3600rpm), is there any way we can change this (aside bigger tires) I mean is it possible to do a swap with another transmission like the elantra one (80mph@3500rpm) or another one.
Is it possible to change the gear ratios or the diff ratio?

i think someone is trying to make a new fifth gear for our tranny. but i'm pretty sure the launtra tranny is the same as the tibby seeing is how they use the same engine. which eng do u have? i think the 1.8 tranny is a little longer.
