If by high clutch catch, you mean that it starts to engage when the pedal is close to being fully let out, then my clutch is also a lot like this. You really can't adjust the engagement point as we have a hydraulic clutch system that is virtually non-adjustable (except for freeplay, etc) When I took my carpet out it felt really bad, so I took a piece of tough foam and liquid cemented it onto the floorboard as a stop (so the pedal doesn't go so far down). It is kind of weird though because my brothers tiburon has a lower engagement than my car. I say as long as your clutch doesn't slip under full throttle and while shifting hard, you're fine.

Mine actually starts to catch fairly low in its travel. Within the first 1/4 to 1/3 of the travel of the pedal (from the floor up) it starts catching (enough to move the car with no throttle). This actually causes problems for me when I hop in another car. It seems that most cars have it setup to slip for a while then catch in the last 1/3 of the travel. I end up looking like a newbie everytime when I drive cars like that :|

CLUTCH PEDAL INSPECTION AND ADJUSTMENT
Measure the clutch pedal clevis pin play (measured at the face of the pedal pad.)

MEASUREMENT SPECIFICATION
Clutch pedal clevis pin play (A) 1-3 mm ( 0.04-0.11 in )

If the clutch pedal clevis pin free-play is not within the standard value range, adjust as follows:

Turn and adjust the bolt, then secure by tightening the lock nut.
NOTE
After the adjustment, tighten the bolt until it reaches the pedal stopper, and then tighten the lock nut.

Turn the push rod to agree with the standard value and then secure the push rod with the lock nut.
CAUTION
When adjusting the clutch pedal clevis pin play, be careful not to push the push rod toward the master cylinder.

After completing the adjustments, check that the clutch pedal free play (measured at the face of the pedal pad) and the distance between the clutch pedal (the face of the pedal pad) and the floor board when the clutch is disengaged, are within the standard value ranges.

MEASUREMENT SPECIFICATION
Clutch pedal free play (B) 6-13 mm ( 0.24-0.52 in )
Clutch pedal free play (C) 90 mm ( 2.8 in )

ok?
