Will this work on a first gen tib? I have a auto and this says universal.... but it has a overdrive button on top, not on the sides like my tib. Would I have to just run the overdrive wires to the new switch or does the factory button have to stay where it is? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33703 Thanks
you just run the wires to the new switch... which you can actually locate to anywhere in the car, a friend of mine put his in the ashtray (I know.. he's kinda strange like that)

hey! it finally popped! It is true.. modern autos do not have a mechanical linkage to keep the shifter from going into reverse.. that is why you can find that little button to override it.. usually somewhere covered on your console.
