what have you done to your car? u obviously have aftermarket extractors, but what else? just curious.

you can find header wrap from summit racing and j.c. whitney. you're choice.
there's a question you have to ask yourself first tho.
-is it melting wires?
if not, its not that hot. if you're melting wires and the plastic from the fan, then yes, you need header wrap.

in my honest opinion, i strongly suggest that you don't. why? i don't think aftermarket header is made to be wrapped with that stuff. moisture gets trapped in there and promotes early rust and degradation of the metal. just look into it and if you need it, do it, but if you don't, don't do it. not worth the trouble.

i also have cai plus exhuast. the reason i want a header wrap is cuz its so hot that i cant even touch my cai. plus i did that mod that reroutes the coolant from your tb. and that did not make a difference either. thanks for the info man

honestly, even if you do put headerwrap on your header, your cai will still be hot to the touch. tell you what, if you really want to do something to your header that'll help cool it down, find a shop that powdercoats and ceramic coat your header. it'll cool your engine bay some without the negative side affects of header wrap. the bad thing is, most of the time it's around 150 bucks whereas header wrap is only 50 bucks or so. its up to you.
anytime i can help my friend.

ceramic coating is the stuff to do... cools down the header, keeps it from rusting, easy to clean... there are no negatives except for the cost.. and just remember, a hotter exhaust is a faster exhaust.

Heat tape (I guess thats the same thing as header wrap) will however help insulate your cai from the heat, as well as keep the intake charge a small bit cooler.
