third brake light (no spoiler) FYI - Hyundai Performance Forums

Any of you who DO NOT have a spoiler on the back of your 00-01 tib, check your third brake light, mine stopped working at about 45k. The dealership fixed this under warranty for me. If its no longer under warranty or your local dealership are just A-holes, it will cost you alot of money. The dealership i got mine from quoted me a price of 178 at THEIR COST. looking at any where from 225 - 250 LIST. if any of you have a 3rd brake light out, i hope you get in REAL GOOD with the local parts manager.

my 99 has the third brake light in the window... I never took a good look at the 00 and later tibs.. did they use LEDs or regular lamps? Mine has a single bulb that is still working after all this time.

as far as i know, the third brake light on the 01 only was on the base option spoiler, and not an option in the rear windshield. the 00 gave the option. the window light were bulbs, and the spoiler lights were LEDs.
