Default replacing clutch and release bearing

i have a 98 tib with a 2liter and i am in the process of tearing the car apart to get to the tranny to replace the release bearing. i was wondering since i have the tranny out should i replace the clutch? if so what clutch should i go with? if i go with a performace clutch do i have to do anything different as in the installment? before i pull the clutch out is there any measurements that i have to take?
thanks!!!!!

you should go with the ACT clutch. you don't have to take measurements or anything, just be careful when you break it in. 600 miles man. don't BLOW OFF THE BREAK-IN.
you'll be buying yourself another clutch if you do.

the reason i don't like spec is because they use a stock release bearing and the stock release bearing is weak as hell. i've already broken two, i think my third is starting to go.

my spec is one of the crappy ones, once it gets warm, it slips like hell, go with a ACT, or sumthing else with a better history.
