http://WWW.DRIVESHAFTSHOP.COM

They will make them for you. KORE also had a set on their website.

Keep in mind, we've only had ONE persone brake ONE driveshaft. That was also coupled with a differential failure. It was never determined if the diff failed causing the halfshaft to break, or if the halfshaft broke, causing the diff to fail. We know that McIntrye got over 300 WHP through the stock axles with no problems, so I wouldn't start worrying about it till you exceed that figure.

I had some drive shaft problems. Firstly i noticed the drive way had splats of oil all over it. I jacked the car up and noticed the oil dripping from the drive shaft. I called my dad who is a mechanic and he noticed that the drive shaft had worked its way out of the box. We managed to push it back into the box very easily.

The car went for warranty work, they replaced clips etc while she was serviced. The week after the service i was at work and was washing the car. I took the car out to dry it and was cruising in 5th at 50mph when the car jumped out of gear and wouldnt go back in. I pulled into the hard shoulder and noticed oil etc all over the road. Opening the bonnet and looking at the shaft i noticved the diff casing had actually split in two and bits of the diff were all over the road.:dead:

The car was lifted by a lorry, thank god i had it serviced by hyundai a week earlier and dropped off at their garage. It had a new box fitted yet the shaft keep working its way loose. I got sick of tall this too-ing and fro-ing every week with hyundai and demanded they fix it properly or keep the pile of shite as it must have been hit before and spread on the front chasis. They replaced the CV joint a new drive shaft etc and its hasnt budged since:ermm: touch wood.

It basically took the fun out of getting a new car, and im constantly afraid every time the wheels spin etc always looking for oil checking the drive shaft every week etc. Major pain in the arse so time for a change of car me thinks.

Paddymcc-
Your problem sounds more like a simple CV joint failure, or CV boot failure, that thanks to a dealers incompetence, caused your whole diff to shatter.

The incident I am refering to is an actual SNAPPED halfshaft. The open differential is NOT very strong. Many people have also had problems with them coming apart at stock HP levels and normal driving (zero abuse, mom driven). The "press pin" holding the diff shaft in place falls out, allowing the diff center shaft to fall out. Only thing that is going to fix the weak diff is a Quaife or KAAZ replacement.
