Default Trans-Axle Question

I heard the 2003 GT v6 trans-axles fit the 1997-2001 Tibs and are a bit beefier and fit right in. Is this true?

no they dont fit right in, or else all of the RD clutches would work with the delta. the delta has a larger flywheel to say the least, i am not sure about the mounting bolts but if you could fabricate a new bellhousing you could probably make it work.

now if you order one from korea they already have that worked out because they have the 6-speed on the beta this year from what ive heard

I think he's refering to just the axle halfshafts not the entire transaxle assembly.

I have also read on one of the fourms that the gen3 halfshafts fit the RD, but I haven't heard of anyone who has tried it first hand.

I would tend to agree. On a regular drive shaft, I can see Carbon working.. it has enough surface area to make a nice strong and rigid shaft... but hald shafts are generally solid...
