Everyone around here has the Xenon Blue headlights and it sucks. So I found a set of Xenon Yellow headlights. Has anyone used these. Just wondering how they look both on the car and behind the wheel. My only other alternative is true HID but I'ld rather spend that extra cash somewhere else on the car.

I like they way they look, but they aren't very bright. If i can find out #1 if they are legal in my state, and #2 if i can find some that are 70 watts i may stick wioth them, but i'm probably going to be putting in some sylvania silverstars until those two things happen.
They are fine for night time driving but its kind of hard to see line markings in the rain, but on the other hand there is less glare and you can see more definition in the road surface. The only thing that i don't like about them is that i cant seem to find any regular or led turn signal bulbs to match them. I have a set of piaa 194's for my marker lamps (rd2) but cant find any yellow 1157's.

I was wondering the same thing....i think they'd look nice on my green tib, but then i think i'd need to get yellow fog lights as well.....where'd you find your bulbs quinner?
yeea i want to see some pics of yellow headlight bulbs on a car.. im thinking of doing that too.. as long as they turn out really yellow and not that piss color of stock bulbs..
and i was wonderin if they make the yellow bulbs for my clear corners.. anyone know this? or is that was tibwrcsbj was tryin to say?
k, guys, i could not get my digicam to take any good pics last night (any help w/ setting it up for night shots so you can see the color would be greatly appreciated, I tried a couple of things but they didn't work very well, I have a sony cyber shot) except for the one of me looking out of my garage from the drivers side, so you can see the brightness and contrast they give off.
I forgot to bring my cam w/ me to work today, so i will post pics if i can tomorrow, we have a sat. net conn, and its supposed to be raining and posssibly snow tomorrow so it will be if'y.
Nightshark, I know Polarg makes 1156's (single filament) yellow bulbs, but i have not been able to find any 1157's in the same color.
I did a search for "1157 yellow" but don't have the time right now to look any further into it.

On Cybershots you need to switch it to night mode. It's either labeled by a icon of a crescent moon, or by scn. You will need a tripod to mount it on since the "shutter" stays open for longer. Any movement of the camera will blur the picture.
Yes, I've seen yellow turn signal bulbs as opposed to amber. There's a bunch of places to get 'em, just not sure offhand. I think OBX/Ractive, APC, and all the other ricer companies make them.
I had the Xenon blue headlight bulbs and they sucked. The other day, I went to Autozone and picked up some Sylvania Cool Blue bulbs and I love them. They are 10 times brighter than the Xenons, but they are not as blue.
As for brand,, I'm not sure. I'm not partial to any brand. As long as they looked good,,that's what I would run. I did the normal thing by looking on ebay and there are a crap load of different brands (mostly cheapies) that offer xenon yellow headlights and foglights. I would like to see pics if possible. I have a green tibby so yellow might look pretty good. Any body else runnin anything different than the blue headlights?

K, guys, i still haven't gotten any pics, but i think i figured out how to. When leaving work last night. I can take a pic of the reflection of my car on one of the offices around the corner. i forgot to bring my digicam w/ me today, but i will put it in my car tonight when i get home so i don't forget it.
I have found a couple of more places to buy yellow headlight bulbs, and i found some 70w ones, which i am going to try after the holidays. I still haven't had any more luck locating yellow turns to match though.
and also, anyone had problems running 70w lowbeam bulbs?? i've heard of higher wattage bulbs melting the wiring harness. I had 70w superwhites in for a while and didn't have any problems with them (besides the cost, and the shorter service life), and now i wait a while after i start the car before turning the headlights on, so that should help make them last a while longer. the 70w ones i found were from www.litebulbs.com , and all though they don't list a manufacturer or have any pics, i'm going to get 2 pairs in january, just to try them out. cost is 30 a pair which isn't too bad.
that will mean that i will have 4 sets of lowbeams, three sets of high beams and i have no clue as to how many different other bulbs i have (mostly leds for int. and ext.)
