Default Tiburon UpGrade

I am new to Tiburon performance parts. I have searced the net and have found very little. I was wondering if anyone can give me some advice/links to some good Tiburon sites. Money is no option. I wanna make Honda drivers wish they were in a Tibby.

Welcome to the site! Good to see another first generation tib owner. Yeah basically, general aftermarket for our cars sux! Well, they're hard to find. You gotta know the right places and people. And you've definately come to the right place. Check out those links from Rudy, definately the best. If you're looking for a different engine or tranny, your best bet is to either wait for 2003 tiburon w/ the V6 2.7 ltr and the 6 speed or go to a performance shop that will customize your gear.

Pretty much everthing you need is available. There are just not a whole lot of choices in brands but most the brands we do have to choose from are good quality.

There realy is no engine that can be swapped into your car right now cause you have the most powerful engine that fits in there. Even the new tib V6 and 6spd tranny will not fit cause the 4cyl and v6 will be on different sub-frames. The 4cyl will still come with the Elantras subframe where the the v6 will have the Sonatas subframe.

Good luck with your car.

BTW out of those links that Rudy gave you I recomend that you stay away from HDK

AUTOBOT, I've actually heard HDK is doing quite well now.

Doc got his strut bar in 3 days.

USAFFLYBOY79-

You can go fast and cheap, but it won't be reliable. You can go fast and reliable, but it won't be cheap...or you can do cheap and reliable. Your choice.

If money is no object...you can have a 600 HP tiburon, upgraded axles and clutch, with a LSD to handle the power, plus a decent suspension to handle the speeds, plus a big brake kit to stop when done, for about $15,000. Properly run and properly maintained, it should be good for an occasional car, but not for a daily driver.

For a daily driver, I reccomend you go the same route RED is taking. Only about 300 to 350 HP, but more reliability, and easier to daily drive the car.

What you really need to do is make some plans. You need a HP goal, and you need to decide how you want to get there. Nitrous, Supercharger or Turbo. Then we can help map out a course for you to take to get there.

yea hp goal is good thing, i'm aiming for 700hp and 750lbs torque at the wheel

i'd recommend you go the daily driver way, thats what i'm doing, so you can show your sh!t off EVERYDAY when you go to work, movie, etc.
i don't think you'll need more than 300-350hp at the wheel to rip an a$$hole , thats just my take on it
