Default TB for 1.8 & 2.0, same? lantra shifter on accent??

hey guys, ive been looking to get a tib/lantra tb for my accent (98 gsi sohc) and im wondering, is the 97 elantra tb (or tib tb) from a 1.8 the same as the tb for the 2.0's? if im goin from stock to stock..im gonna get the biggest stock one there was <img src=/images/forums/snitz/laugh.gif width=15 height=31 border=0>

also, i was told i can put a tib shifter in and it will reduce the throws greatly from a stock accent shifter. i would assume the the shifters were all the same, as short shifter kits for tibs and elantras run like 97-00 lantra and 98-00 tib, or something like that. so would it be safe to say that a 97 elantra shifter would work just the same as a tib from 98 on? i dunno if u kno how they;d fit in an accent, but just tell me if the parts on a 97 elantra are the same as a tib's. thanks!

The TB's for all betas are the same, so yes, a 1.8L tb is the same as the 2.0L.

I do not believe that the Tiburon/Elantra shortshifter will work in the accent.
