Does anyone have any idea on geting this speed governor out? I would like to go faster...!![8] 140 or higher if possible.

Yep, if you look around on your tranny, you will find a little blue plug like device. Thats your limiter.

remember the governor is there for a reason. it stops you at a safe speed for your engine. you risk damaging your engine internally by taking your governor off and going faster than the stock internals are built for.

Around 120 or so, My elantra used to cut out around 120. So, I'm thinking the same thing.

back to the topic at hand. Why are the canadian Tiburon run up to 140 and the US only at 120 mph. Is there a difference in the engine internals?[???].

There is a replacement for displacement. It is on 2 wheels and 600cc.

The US tibs cut off at 125mph.
I was not aware that the Canadian Tibs could hit 140mph stock but if they can I am pretty sure that it is only due to the govenor.
You also have to realize that if you are running stock tires they are only rated at 125mph.
