Default KORE CAI. The Truth.

In my previous CAI post, I mentioned that I did not feel a lot of improvement in power department after installing KORE CAI. But this was the result of my faulty installation. The wrong thing I did was to use those blue silicone connectors as an extra pipe. That is, there was space between pipes. There was space between pipes because I couldn't really fit them well together because the AEM air bypass is getting in the way and the battery is preventing me to place CAI straight. However after installing CAI again (this time I made sure that every pipe touches each other), I noticed the dramatic difference. Before when I pressed gas pedal hard, there was a lag time of approx 0.7 seconds which the air intake sucked the air then my engine began to accelerate. With proper CAI installation, this lag time almost disappeared. Now I don't even feel this lag time unless I press gas pedal really hard. But even with this, lag time is greatly reduced compare to stock intake. Now I can really feel the power of Tibby thanks to KORE CAI.

Today I am going up to a mountain road to test my car

Thank you KORE! (and Bat Lord who corrected me the silicone connector problem).

Thanks for proving that you are a stand up guy and posting this thread retracting your previous statements.

It real takes a big person to admit when they were wrong.<img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0>
