I was pondering throwing a turbocharger or a supercharger on one of my tibbys and wanted to get some idea of the performance boost I could expect? I know the HP and torque shoot up, but how much acceleration do you actually gain?
Thanks for the info.

If you go with the methanol injected turbo from McIntyre you'll be Corvette fast... Dunno times though...sorry
From what I've heard, the McIntyre/Dragon Fabrications turbo will put you in the area of 300hp, but I don't know of anybody other than them that has it yet.
I do know (with dyno proven facts) that the Alpine turbo system will give you ~225hp at the wheels at 10psi with an intercooler (included in the system).
The Dragon Fabs kit will run you about $4500 installed while the Alpine kit will run you about $3000 installed.
Alpine also has a supercharging kit that puts out similiar numbers.

Hey guys does either kit come with anything to strengthen internals/seals or are they just kits for turbo/piping/connectors/intercooler?

ok i have a custom built turbo kit in my 97 tibroun.everthing internal is performance to build up the turbo (headers, innner cooler ect) and im even running with nos. i could never ask for a better car.turbos add more horse power then super chgs.
Yup, a turbo is more "tuneable" as you can adjust boost pressures a lot more easily. However, this can also get you in trouble if you boost too much on a stock block.
With a supercharger, you have to pull all the belts off, then change the pulley, then put all the belts back on, just to raise or lower your boost .
