Default MOVED: My car got robbed, need an alarm

Some bastards broke into my car last Saturday. They broke out my window, stole my cd player, scratched my car, got my radar detector,AND STOLE MY BEER AND CIGERETTES. Insurance is going to pay for most of it, but it's time to get an alarm, what's a good alarm I can get on ebay for 200-250 bucks?

Post some pics of your car. An alarm isn't necessarily a solution to someone who wants to get in your car... it's just a mild deterrent.

an alarm ain't gonna protect your valuables in the car,

Instead, Put a camera in your room Window and leave it on when you're asleep,
Surveillance is a good Way to nab thoses bastards,

Best deterrent is to keep your valuables out of sight.

Suffice to say that if your things had been in the hatch or glove compartment you may not have been robbed.

That little red light is sometimes plenty enough to ward off most would be thieves.

Yes, a video camera and get one of those security card that lets u put your camera to the computer. video tape the car at night, and save those video on your harddisk. the law is the way to punish them. my windows was smashed, i saw him from far, but cops cant catch them.

An alarm only stops amature theives... kids and people looking to make a quick smash and grab.... For professionals, you need to encase your car in cement to keep them out... and that is no guarentee

you know i might have a good idea! get an alarm and a dc powered camera that recoreds for about 3mins. once the alarm goes off it records. then you won't even need a siren. but it has to be really small and be able to see the car from on sport. it would only turn on when the silent alarms is set off. damn i'm gonna see how much this is gonna cost now! the ideas i get when i'm drunk!
