Default Engine Swap?

I have a 97 Tiburon FX 2.0L manual trannsmission. I need to find out if a 2000 tiburon 2.0L engine will work in it.

yes it will... same trannies are used in 97-01

No you dont have to. I did, but only cause I'm crazy and I wanted the 2nd gen interior functional. Dont worry about it, just swap the engine in there and bolt it up to your tranny and your done.

WONT BE THAT MUCH IT REALLY DEPENDS ON THE CONDITION OF THE NEW ENGINE. THE 2.0L WILL BE A LIL MORE TORQUEY

Engine hp is rated the same.
Any gains will only be because the engine is newer.
