Default I have a question that i really need answered......

Okay in the tib manual for 2001........ it says it has a 14.5 gal tank is that true? I usually get about 260 miles in city and then fill it up usually only needing about 11.4 gallons of gas. I have never seen the gas light come on So can i get more gmiles or is it only a 12 gallon tank? I'm scared to run it past 260 and not make it to a gas station incase of the gas light not working?

I know the gas light comes on on mine with about 50-70km to got not sure in miles though. Its is equivilant to 55L in metrick and I have run so low that I have put a little more than 55 L in once so the tank Is rated acuratealy. I know that 500km is a good tank of gas for me but its usualy 450km city. I don't know if this is normal or not though

I usually drive around 300 miles in my 2000 before filling up. Sometimes the gas light is on, sometimes not. The most fuel I ever put in at one fill up was 14 gallons, the gas light had been on for a while and I had about 340 miles on that tank. So I would say, yeah, it's really a 14.5 gallon tank.

The gas take in the Tib is a 14.5 gal tank. The needle will read empty before the light comes on. When the light does come on, you have aprox 30-35 miles before you suck fumes or about 1-1.5 gallons of gas left.

better yet you can just fill it befoe it gets too low. they get some decent miles between refills so it's not a sacrifice to keep it topped off.

I'll have to test that out when my tibby arrives. I'll take it to the shop I work at and drain it then fill it and see how much can go in. (yes there's a pump at the shop)
