Default Manual Switch for Cooling fans?

i would like to have a simple switch for turning on my cooling fans...this will help on those 90 degree nights at the track...when the car is idling or off.
my question is this...i know i need to tap a + power source (planning on hazard light fuse or batter with inline fuse ) then i run a switch between the battery and fans then i connect the +wire to the positive wire of the fans...there are 2 fans to i split the positive switch wire to each fan? which wire is the one i tap...its not simply red and black wires on the fans...help out here...:dead:

I am unsure how this works on the hyundai... but I know this is a common trick with italian cars with electric fans (since the mid sixties). You add a switch to ground between the fan and the termoswitch on the radiator simply flipping the switch will bypass the termoswitch and turn on the fans.

Again, this is assuming the fans in the Tib work the same way.. with the power going to the fan first before being grounded at the termoswitch

Well the concept would be basically correct except that its a constant ground so i'd have to do the + side i'd think...my worry is what else is on the same circuit is something else going to come on too...will introducing a hot line of power to it..because tapping into the line will cause the new source to go to the fans and also the other way in the circuit back to the "termoswitch" or whatever... hmmm
anyone ever do this mod??:ermm:

It looks like you can just tap in to the hot wire before the radiator relay, no?

So, tap in to the power before the radiator relay, and then connect it to the fan motor after the radiator relay, that way when you flip a switch you are essentially bypassing the built in radiator relay.

Do not do anything to any of the power wires. Do not run a wire from the battery to a switch and to the fan. You want to either run a power wire to a switch and then to the relay turn-on lead or buy a relay and fuse and make up a whole new circuit.

I'll make you a wiring harness and switch with a relay so you can just install it with ease. Basically you want a relay, and you'll have to go spend about 4 bux on one at the store. If you want let me know if you want my lil rig, I'll send it in an envelope so theres no shipping charges, well, like a buck.
