My uncle is in charge of the Saturn by my house so i let him change it for me. I called around to Hyundai and they wanted around 570 and Aamco wanted like 700. My uncle did it for 570 and it knew it was done right. It all depends on where u go. mine was changed at around 112k miles. It all depends on how u drive it though when it needs to be replaced. u will know when the time comes

well.. about half is labor.. the other half is parts... I am intending on adding both the Phantom Grip and a lightened flywheel along with a better clutch when I do it.. even without the grip.. adding the lightened flywheel will not significantly raise the price.. you should get the flywheel cleaned up when you replace the clutch anyway... this actually saves time instead of sending it out to a machine shop

If you can get it done for $300 or less, you're golden. More than that, if you have an engine lift or a couple good jacks and a set of metric sockets and wrenches, I'd recommend doing it yourself. I just did mine in a total of seven hours. They were going to charge me around $500 to replace the stock clutch. I got a nice Beck/Arnley aftermarket clutch for $200 (which included the alignment tool, pressure plate, disk and throwout bearing) and I do know it was done right. Some of the job is a hassle, but if you want I'll give you some tips.

You have to take off the center member (the bolt on part of the frame where the tranny's mounted) and one of the upper motor mounts that is attached to the tranny. You need to drain and refill the tranny, and take apart portions of the front suspension to get the halfshafts out. You will also need help getting the tranny back in and lining it up. It would be good to have help getting it out, but I managed on my own.

Email me if you want any detail or have questions.

Oh, also...my Tib had 89K, but was driven REALLY hard. And I don't think it absolutely necessary right now, either. I've seen people on this forum post that their clutch lasted well past 100K.

I kinda disagree with twistdpair. I'm in the process of changing my clutch right now, and it's absolutely not something I'd recommend unless you are somewhat experienced mechanically....or at least comfortable enough to not screw anything up. This is not something you try because you successfully changed your spark plugs last week. :

But if you've got the experience, the balls, and the tools (any two out of three is fine) it's not that bad. This first time took about 12 hours, but I was doing other stuff as well (urethane mounts, etc). I'd say next time would take me 5-6 hours now that I know all the little bullshit that gets ya.

speed racer, balls and tools are all you need. hell, i didn't know shat from shinola when i did the tranny swap. get the factory service manual and follow directions. it also doesn't hurt to have a mechanic/experienced friend there to help

I've done it so many times now that it took me 3 hours to change my last one. Although not having the stock intake and undercovers does cut an hour off the time. Bring it here and I'll only charge you $200.
