Default HVE Carbon Fibre Cold Air Intake - Attached to lower portion of Airbox

Anyone know whether this intake is any good?

http://www.performancestylingcentre.com.au/engine/carbon%20fibre%20cold%20air%20intakes.htm (at bottom of page)

I have a 1997 Beta 1.6 Singapore spec (Rev A i think) tiburon/coupe. Am I better off getting an AEM?

Haha... that actually makes it look kind of stock. If that's what you are going for, that'd be cool. But if you want more performance, go with AEM, or any CAI intake over that.

Why?

Well... that duct is blocked by the moulding between the hood and frame of the car, so not much air flow will get to it.. unless you put a duct in your hood anyway.

AEM or any other CAI gets cooler air from outside of the engine bay... AEM or Injen get the lowest to the engine bay or into the fender, so they get the coldest air. Colder air = more performance.

But it's up to you man... I'd wait for some more opinions from some other guys.

i had one.

its not gona throw you back into your seat but you notice the difference over stock.

it looks nice but i'd go with something different make your own its only a cai.
buy a filter and go and see a tuning shop to weld the pipe to fit.
