Default Suspension

My Tib shocks really need replacing, i have already sport springs but the previous shocks were stock standard, which didn't really last long. There are really bad hitting sounds from the rear when i go over a bump or something. I'm thinking of getting a koni set from Singapore, around USD350, normally when yhou guys change the suspension, what else normally needs changing?, struts?

Just had this problem. yes, you need new struts and coilovers. I went with www.Arospeed.com and the struts, i went with KYB. No problems with it here to speak of.

just remember.. whatever route you take.. shocks and springs, fake coilovers, real coilovers.. air bags... you will need a four wheel alighnment afterwards or your tyres will die a premature death and there is the chance your car could be quite a handful when driving

Wow f**k, the coilovers add another USD150+ to the cost. How much did everything cost you when you did it?

you said you had a set of sport springs already. If you need new struts, your choices are kinda limited. KYB or Koni inserts. I'd go with KYBs, if it were me, unless your racing the car.

With regards to alignment...yes, any time you get suspension work done, an alignment is required. But any reputable suspension shop will INCLUDE the alignment in the cost or give you a break on the price. It takes them 30 minutes to align a car with only toe adjustment.

WRT tire wear...right now I have 1.8 degrees of camber on the front with about .1 degrees toe out. I have NO tire wear issues from daily driving. I had more tire wear issues with the stock alignment settings. Why everyone worries about this I don't know...sports suspension settings cause additional tire wear...deal with it, its the price you pay for having a car without terminal understeer.
