Default Grinding Gears

I have a problem with grinding gears, especially when downshifting. I push the clutch all the way to the floor and 9 out of 10 times my 3rd gear will grind when downshifting. Is it the clutch, or the shifter (i nope to god its not the tranny)

Check your cluch fluid. Sounds like you may need to top it up. If not you may need to replace the clutch.

RD trannies are notorious for weak synchros. Problem is once they start grinding there's no way to "fix" it besides having the tranny rebuilt. :ermm:

You can try some Redline MT-90 gear oil topped off with a little Lucas Oil Stabilizer, made a huge difference for me. Much smoother shifting and less grindage. Plus it will better protect the synchros from further damage.

I had the same problem...

Replace the synchros and have fun again.
Once you take out the tranny, replace your stoke clutch with an aftermarket one... you'll like it :
