OK GREAT Someone please explain to me this Jeep wave. I live in Ontario and I went for a cruise with my buddy and owns a jeep and everyone in a Jeep waved to him and he waves to everyone in jeeps. Now you talk about it and you live in the US, when did this start did I miss something? Now as far as waves I've waved at done up accents and tibs and I get nothing in return...so I stopped! But I do nod my head at ricers and people that rev or give it in the oppisite lane.

not a new thing... Motor cyclists go it.. guys in antique and classic sports cars do it.. Apparently Jeeps do it too... I think the Import scene has to get a little more mature first though... too much competition, not enough recognition

The lowrider scene did it when I was in it and so did the import scene when it first started. But your your right, ther is too much competition these days but not because it hasn't matured, if anything, it is just the opposite and has immatured over there years. Mostly because there are too many kids in it these days.

That actually makes MORE sense... too many kids with their heads stuck up their arses.. unwilling to acknowledge anything but the honda they drive... I am not picking on honda.. I think they are good cars.. but it seems like the worst of the ricer mentality seems to be centred on the "h badge"

I always wave at any modified Import I see. Makes me feel like the bigger man when they roll by looking at me like who the hell are you and most of the time if I see them again they wave.

Another thing I don't understand is when ever I see a car that I like I tend to start hitting switches like crazy and later I hear that they are talking trash like oh he is cocky and it's actually the opposite in my mind I am giving respect cause if you rolling in something I consider junk I'm not gonna waste my time bagging on ya. It must just be me but when I used to dream about Hydros (back in the day) and air ride if I knew someone who had it I would always try to get them to hit em for me ask Hyper I bugged him all the time. Anyways my point is if I see you and start hitting switches it's a compliment.

This is true, but I think it is because every uneducated retard gets a Honda because it is the most obvious choice. Not that every Honda driver is a retard, but all the retards seem to flock to them. If you notice though, those with truely hooked up hondas are cool as hell and the ones that are pricks usually have junk. Oh sure, they always talk about what they are going to do, and how fast you can make them, but never actually do anything.

It's because if anyone puts any kind of hard work into their car/motor, then they'll somehow grow up and recognize the same thing in other cars. Ricers these days, that just install a 5 minute intake, don't know how to appreciate or even know what hard work is. I can tell a custom turbo from a simple bolt-on, and always give them the recognition they deserve.

When you buy a Jeep Wrangler....they actually give you a pamphlet regarding the wave thing. When I ride my motorcycle.....almost ever biker i encounter whether harley or sport bike. They all wave, i do also.

I do agree that most import scene people are too Immature to even think of it!

it just seems to me that it's more likely to start out on a friendly note with w wave then just staring or something. that way if you ever end up parking next to that person theres not like any animocity towards each other.
just an idea, i'll continue to do it, so if your ever in north east maryland and get a wave from a blue tibby it's prolly me
