Default REALLY need to know about o2 sensor

ive got some 4-1 headers that only came with one o2 sensor. my car has two, one at the headers, and one after. if i only connect the one after, and take off the first sensor, whats gonna happen. im doing it myself with some friends so id really appreciate all the help i can get. :smoking:

It's supposed to only have one. The first O2 sensor goes before the catalytic converter, the second after it. First O2 sensor CAN NOT be removed or unused, the ECU depends heavily on its readings for fuel control. The second O2 sensor is there just to make sure the cat is working properly.

Do a search...you'll find 47389473289423 threads regarding headers and O2 sensors, and solutions.

there was one o2 sensor up in the engine bay right at the headers. the second one is underneath the car, but its still before the cat. the only sensor hole my headers have is the one down underneath the car before the cat. i got them on and started it up withouth the first sensor in and it seemed to be running ok. no check engine light, no funny sounds, other than the nice new headers of course. :smoking:
