hey james. my name is james too.. haha
anyways, yea i was working on my clutch all this week. the car has been sitting in my auto-mech school for over week now.
anyways, helpful tip is... the tranny won't come off unless you take your slave cylinder (one that is connected to this black thingy that moves when you step on the clutch) and unscrew the bolt on top of it. it looks like a silver metal swing. take that stuff off and pull on that small thing that pops out after you unhook everything and take out everything. just pull and start messing with it. it connects to release bearing (if you have the "pull-type" like mine.)
i wish i can get you the picture but that won't be done until monday (since i am not going to school on weekends).
well, if you really get stuck, than reply to me here. i know how it feels to be stuck somewhere and not knowing what to do.
(not even the tranny guys knew why my tranny wouldn't come out.. :ermm: )

Default Re: clutch

well im done for today, unfortunately not done with the task...

i managed to only disconnect the cables and sensors on the top of the tranny, drain my gear oil and pull out my drive shafts and get one bolt from the starter (the other one is a **** to get) in a whopping 5 hours. goin back in for the rest tomorrow at 9am sharp .....

had to run to the parts store for a 32mm socket for the spindle nut on the hub
