Default RECALL

i recently got a letter in the mail from my local hyundai dealer informing me of a recall on my 98fx. the part was called "046 D'RING GUIDE". i dont kno what that stands for. im sure they dont mean "valve guide" but thats the closest thing i could think of. anyone know what they mean?

It's for your seat belt. Mine had the same recall. They replace the guides that the seat belts go thru so they retract right.

yea they did mine (without permission) when I had my car in for a wheel bearing. My seatbelts still do not retract properly.

I didn't bother to have mine fixed so I didn't know if it was an effective recall or not.

I had that recall done. It made a substantial improvement in the seatbelt problem. It seems that they install a stopper above the D-ring to restrict the range of movement of the guide. It's definitely worth having done if you have the problem with the seatbelts not retracting properly.
