Default help with new exhaust

i recently put on a new exhaust. and last week i was driving home on the highway and i noticed when i accelerated hard that the exhaust started making a popping noise. and it did it for a few seconds and then would stop until i did it again. please send some advice if you might know what the problem is.

What type of exhaust are you running? It might be backfiring a lil due to lack of backpreasure.

So all you added was a muffler?

If so then it is probably just the way your muffler sounds.
