Default RD airconditioner removal

curious as to whether or not anyone has removed their A.c out of their RD with success. I want to pull mine out this summer and I am wondering if the blower for the heater is attached with the ac. Im tossing th ac cause the ac clutch is broke and i never use it during the summer anyway, i figure that will drop a 100 lbs off the front end. any feedback would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

well, as you have a 97 and do not have to worry about the air coming on with the defrost, I cannot think of a single reason why you can't do this...
I do believe that the heater/air conditioning system on the tib is one unit.. but, I think you can open it up and yank the air part out of it. The fan sits between the heater and the air conditioning unit.
