Default upgrading my engine

what do i need to upgrade my engine to run a turbo and what brands of everything and what turbo kit should i use for my 2001 tiburon

Depends A LOT on what your goals are. So like, what HP numbers and 1/4 times are you aiming for?

well im not sure what my power gain is that i want you see im not really good at the motor work i like stereos and the way the car looks, heres a web site that we put up when i was going to sell the car http://tiburoncoupe.tripod.com i just kind of want to be able to say yeah its got a turbo in it. it doesnt have to be the fastest car ever or anything close i just want a nice turbo that will not hurt the engine

that is what i was emphasizing- reliability. if youre not concerned about the power output then thats a different story...

ok so running about 5 to 6 psi will not hurt the stock motor? or will i need to have the motor set up to where it can hold the 5 to 6 psi?

your motor will hold 5psi no problem. just go see if you can find a turbo manifold, you missed the one that blueGT was selling in the for sale forum. call ss autochrome and see what their prices are, turbo manifolds are not usually cheap. gonna take some looking around to find one cheap (like that just went in like a day on the forums).

beppomarx- can you help me and tell me were you found those prices for those parts you send me because i would like to be able to run the 5 psi set up but i dont knwo where you found that turbo

well i went to http://www.importshark.com/store/induction.htm to pick up the manifold. i just got the Garrett T3 turbo. now can you tell me were i can go to pick up a down pipe or should i have one custom made? aranoid: and do i need a wastegate?
