Default Crapy Tibby

I have a 2000 Tiburon, Auto, with 70,00kms. Bought it used from Hyundai used. First 5 months the car was great. now theres 89000kms on it, drivin to work one day and boom, car starts rumbling. take it in, the ignition wires were broken it was only firing on 3 cylinders, that was great ! $400 later. here a knocking sound, take it in ! its the internal timing chain the guys says. oh but dont worry its under warranty so thats fixed. The check engine light comes on all the time now, the guy says that its normal for the check engine light to come on in the winter time. It the trans temp sensor. It s a normal thing ! Now im sitting at home tryin to work from home. Because my car wont start. it sounds like it just doesnt want to turn over, really pissed and if anyone can tell me why i should keep this piece of crap. pls tell me ..
thanks

Happy "Freakin" Holidays:nervous:

I would go to a different mechanic because it certainly isnt normal for the CEL to come on in winter. There is obviously something wrong with the engine and that guy was either too dumb or too lazy to find the problem and fix it.

Agreed. Find another mechanic. Also, changing your plugs/wires should cost you over C$400. These cars use a timing belt, not a chain, unless he meant the chain that connects the two cams together in which case I've never heard of that failing. Sounds like you're being taken for a ride dude.

HAHA! Sounds like my car.... Got it used in July 03... And in the past year I have put a new battery, spark plugs, new battery cables... And the air bag light is always on. Does anyone know how to reset that? I know there is nothing wrong with the air bag thing cuz I got that replaced too about 2 months ago.
