I had my rd in the snow. It was pretty shitty even with the snow tieres but not as bad as you described. Rubber will make all the diference.

My Rd is an absolute handful when it snows and I have my summer tires on. However, there aren't many cars on the road that can brake and accelerate like mine can when it is icy and I have my studded winter tires on.

I have never had a problem in the snow with my tib.. my old excel with it's 7 inches of ground clearance and skinny tyres was better.. but the tib can hold it's own.

maybe in your case the reason why your tiburon suck's in the snow is because you've altered the car's ground clearance with your eibach Spring's as i see in your profile,

snow and hard ice may scrape your underbody a lot and rub off some of the rubber underbody coating, and I'd stay away from road's that are filled with no more than 4 inche's of snow,

if you want good action in snow, put your stock strut's on to get some ground clearance, deflate some air from the winter tire's to help them bite better and try to add some weight to the car,
