I had to go to work right after we finished the deal so I haven't gotten to drive it much but man it is sweet. Anyone who said they didn't like the v6 is on crack. Man it sounds sweet as hell when you put the revs on. Will definately have to get used to the 6-speed but I am going to be cautious with it, I will not be the first one to hit the wrong gear and blow the engine. Can't wait to get off work and go drive. It's Carbon Blue, will be getting Digital pics soon.

Hi Congrats on your new tib
Hope I get mine soon enough ^^
Now, I am saving up another 3 grand for V6 manual -_- until they come.. it's V6 or nothing like it.-_-
I was looking at the prices, and I wouldn't get the top of the line one, I would prolly go with the base V6, since I know within the year or so, I'd have 2 racing seats, new wheels, dropped, painted interior and a different spoiler... lol and save myself almost 1500-2000k for that... and the GT badging, well those are cheap to find... lol
I didn't get the top. I'm not sure what package it is but it's cloth interior, with the 6-speed, no abs. I'm going to try and live with the infinity for awhile but I may have to put one of my twelve's back in, just don't know if that 8" sub is gonna cut it for me. I paid 18,291.00 payments are gonna be a bitch but it is so worth it. This car is a total evolutionary leap so far forward from my old one. Thanks for the congrats. Now if i just wasn't at work so I could be driving

I drove the 2003 fully loaded Tib. It's not all that, infact it sucks.
i was going to trade my 2000 in last Sat. When I test drove it it sucked. i wound up trading my Tib in for a Saab 9-3 SE Turbo.
The 2003 tib couldn't even keep up. Without dumping all kinds of money into it.

I am an owner of a Y2K Tiburon. As of now 01/04/02 my car is stock. As I learn I will be making mods.

I would have to agree its time to find a new Saab board there exmfg.
I will let you know a little tid bits though.
1) If you don't like Hyundai's depreciation, your gonna be fuming mad when you trade in your Saab. Buddy who did my exhaust bought his brand new for $40,000 (Viggen) and put about $10,000 worth of upgrades (turbo, exhaust, intake, suspension the works)to the whole car. He is now selling it 4 years later for $20,000 (Cdn prices of course). He has had one offer for $16,000 in the past 3 monthes, but doesnt want to sell that low.
2) Replacement parts are the reason for the low resale, no one buys a Saab used. Would rather drive a BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Volvo, Jag, Caddy, list goes on as would I.
Its nice to see you as proud about your Saab as you were probally about your Hyundai. But unfortunately, your in for a couple 'bumps' down the road.
Also you cannot compare a $30,000 'luxury' car to a $20,000 car. When I put my $10,000 US worth of aftermarket into my 2.7L Tiburon 6-speed, we'll take it to the tracks and see who has the best performance (acceleration, top speed, handling, list goes on) between the two cars.
I coulda bought a $30,000 US entry level luxury car or Saab too, but a cheap coupe with potential is so much more fun.
Besides I don't like the whole 'Jerry Seinfeld' look.
agreed with 4doorgl, comparing a saab with a tib is insane, ya can't do that. saabs are great cars though, don't get me wrong. I'd get one if I had the $$, only one problem though, Seinfeld drives porshes!!!!!

Um... So?? Correct me if i'm wrong, but don't mods like the type your friend has, lower your resale value like crazy?

Yeah, and people who own corvettes should have bought a Mustang GT and put $20,000 mods into it I suppose.

No offense but I would much rather have a BMW in parked in on my driveway, instead of a fixed up Sonata or a 97 Tiburon. Than again, it's just my opinion.
I'm not trying to pick a fight with you, but for crying out loud, what are you trying to do Smiley? Make the guy feel bad for buying a luxury car?
