I am attempting to install a new clutch in the "01 Tiburon... I have the tranny disconected, but I am unable to "slide" the tranny out of the car. It seems as if the throwout bearing is hung up on the pressure plate. Is there a step I am forgetting? Does the bell housing need to be separated from the tranny in order to gain access to the clip holding the throwout bearing onto the pressure plate? Or can they be seperated another way. Thanks in advance.

You need to remove the the arm on the tranny that attaches to the slave cylinder, this will allow the shaft to spin far enough to allow the throwout bearing to slide off.
EXACTLY what maxtib said...you have to rotate that arm just enough and the tranny will "magically" slide off...after doing that, you will be like "duh:duh:"
way simple.

werd...even after reading the manual on it... the manual said "unbolt the transmission bellhousing from the motor, slide transmission away from car."
like that was in ANY WAY useful.

My shop manual actually does show that step. I think a lot of people are still using the old Chris H step-by-step guide. The guide was awesome, but left out that one key step that's driven 4893084930 people crazy.
