you probably could, but I dont know if it'll make you faster. What a lot of people do is with their 2.0, they install a 1.8 cam. Ive also heard of people installing 1.8 5-spds with the 2.0 ( I was gonna do it) and 1.8 ECUs and MAFs with the 2.0 liter.

1.8 & 2.0- same exact head, different cams.

The difference in power comes from the displacement, no so much the head.
