Default belts?

i have a 1997 tib and please excuse my idiocy but i know absolutely nothing about it
it started making this noise when i pulled out of parking spots and finally the power steering belt snapped i had it replaced and everything was good for about a week then when i would just start the car it was making the noise again but worse it literaaly sounds like a pig screaming and trying to move the wheel at start up feels like the belt is gone again at first it seemed like it would go away once the car warmed up but now it happens if im at a stop light once i accelerate it kicks in ive looked at it and had people with a general car knowledge look at it everything appears fine but the noise is horrendous please if anyone has any ideas let me know thanks

Check the fluid and for leaks. If that's all good your power steering pump is probably about to die.

Default Re: belts?

this is what you do

go to your local car shop or any car part store, ask a sales accociate to get you some belt spray. It comes in a can.

go home spray it on ur belt while its running to make sure it spreads nice.. on top and underneath where the teeth are. Then the noise is GONE :P

I take it its cold where you live right now
