Default cel,misfire?

I have installed a 4-1 header and had new o2's put in as the old ones were no good, I know its because there is no cat between the o2's, but when i reset the ecu and step on the gas in neutral the car sputters alittle at first then revs up. I have been told this is my tps but need help verifying that this is the problem. Also the car when taking off at low rpms will sputter at first like its missing...could a rich condition from the o2's make the plugs go bad? Thanks, if this post is a repost please e-mail me at twin_yamaha2003@hotmail.com

Have you had the cel checked to find out what the code is?

This probably isn't your problem but when I had my clutch replaced, the crappy shop put my MAF in backwards. My car idled like crap & it smoked while idleing and at low rpm, but in the upper rpm range it was fine. Maybe there is an offchance that this is your problem, but I doubt it. uzzled:

I took it back to the shop that put the header and my new exhaust on, they said it was reading something to do with the o2 sensors, they were a pretty lame ass shop, they reset it and a few days later the cel was back, parked it over winter and just now getting back to it and the car just isn't running right (sputtering low rpms, down reving slowly) I read a service bulletin on faulty tps on the tiburons. I also replaced the throttle body this may have been an added problem. Thanks for the help

I replaced my tps for a similar problem and it did absolutely nothing. You can test the tps though, just take it out and hook up an ohmmeter to it, I think the reading should be somewhere between .5 and 4 ohms from all the way counterclockwise to all the way clockwise. (As you turn it the resistance will go up and down). Test it out and see if that is the problem. It is super easy to remove from your car, just two 10mm bolts and an electronic harness. Good luck.8D
