What's the meaning of "RD" Tiburon...and all 2001 Tiburons have Beta Motor???

Beta is the name of the engine in all 4cyl Tibs and all 1996 and newer Elantras.

Kirk I think he was talking about what "RD" stood for not the Beta. uzzled: If so, it is name of the platform with the Tiburon is built upon.

No, it is the name of the platform which the 1996-2001 Tib is built on (which is stated in the quote).

and yes, there were 1996 tibs just not in the US market
