Anyone ever tried putting 195/60/15's on instead of the 55 series profile? See I need 4 new tires and I was going to get the BF Goodrich Traction T/A, however...the 60series is $20bux cheaper. I know its going to slow the speedo down by 3.2% and raise the car 3/4". I guess I am asking is if anyone who has tried it, how did the handling feel...was there a big difference? Any input is appreciated!:

It will look horrible and handle worse than stock. Is that worth saving $80?
Why not just buy a different brand tire that's cheaper and the right size? I don't know how much the BF's are...but Kumho, Falken, etc all make great tires for good prices.
Well I am trying to get them put on at Base. I really don't feel like messing with Sears again because they have focked me over 2 times. I guess I could do some more research....how much more worse will it handle?

on my car...97 tib... 60 series is stock for 15's. but i use 50 series. 205-50-15.
UI'd go with 45's but theres no place that carries them. mail-order only.

http://www.1010tires.com/tire.asp?tirebrand=Kumho&tiremodel=Ecsta+Supra+712 kind of like that :

That's what I'm currently running. On the average they are actually cheaper than 195/55's and you get improved traction and handling.
I think I paid $360 for four Falken Ziex 512 205/50/15's mounted and balanced from a local tire shop.
