Default tib won't start

Got in to go and it clicked a few times and that was it. Charged the bat, not it, checked fuses, not it, banged on starter, nothing. Any Ideas? Could the starter be gone? never had any probs w/ it. Also checked and cleaned the post, not it.

clicked a few times aye? sounds like you still have a flat/damaged battery or a dud starter motor. Turn on the headlights on while you try to start the car and see if it dims dramatically when you turn the key. If it does or is dim before you even have started the car then you need another battery.

could be the alternator as well.

in my old maxima, i tried starting the car one day, and it just gave me clicks. the dome light in the car, would turn on when i open the door and then just slowly dim away. same thing with the headlights. found out that the alternator just died - from being old.

If it was clicking i highly doubt its the starter. check all your connections from the battery to the starter. check the wires as well. your prob might be a connection issue

it still could be the starter if it clicks, as the clicking could be coming from the soldenoid that pushes the gear.

my first guess would be the alternator..
will the car start if it gets boosted? if it does than its the alternator
