Default 2 questions about tiburon

Recently I have been interested in Hyundai tiburons. So I have done some research and some posts about the car. I have found that some people with tiburons had a ton of trouble with the car (breaking down) and on he other hand I heard the car is amazing and no problems. How is it possible to hear opposite things about the car? does it mean those people had a bad tiburon (a lemon)?

My second questoin is that I think the tib gets a 10 year warrentee, not sure though but anyway if I were to customise the car before the warrentee is up will I lose my warrantee b/c I customised it?

I'll answer the second question... you lose your warranty only on the parts that you modify...

unless they can prove that your body kit caused your engine to explode, you'll be fine.

they need to prove that the aftermarket parts caused the engine to explode..if that ever happens...

The bumper to bumper is 5years 60,000 miles
The anti corrosion is 5years 100,000 miles (I blieve)
The Roadside assistance is 5years unlimitted miles
The Powertrain is 10years 100,000 miles

A body kit will affect the anti corrosion only around the area where the kit is installed.

Aftermarket performance parts will only affect the warranty if it is what causes the parts to break.

i.e. If you install an intake it will not void the tranny warranty but if you install a turbo it could void the tranny warranty due to the xtra power even though it does not directly connect to the tranny. Also if your dealership are d!cks they could give you sh!t about any aftermarket parts (ask skierd) whether or not it caused the car to break. Also some dealers are realy cool such as the one matthew has cause he had NOS and blew his engine and they still replaced it. The best thing you can do is arm yourself with knowledge and get to know your dealer. Find out if they are cool. Unfortunately when it comes to service the dealerships are either realy cool or realy sh!tty.<img src=/images/forums/snitz/disapprove.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>
