Default Put that new Tib on a diet ....

Weighing in at a mere 13.5 pounds for a 17x7, 14.2 pounds for 18x7.5 ,and 14.9 pounds for 19x8 ..... take your pick kids

Centerline RPM
Centerline Excel
Centerline Dyno

Not too sure about the weight on the Dyno wheel cuz of the chrome ... but damn if it is true.

The claim is feeling a 6HP difference by going lightweight.

I don't know if I will have these wheels available or not. I checked the computer at work, but I don't see them yet. I can call in to Centerline tomorrow and maybe get some realistic prices.

I dont really want to sound like an idiot here, but where abouts can I get those rims if their available in Canada??

I like that RPM rim and have never seen the brand Centerline before. I think it would look good on my '03 carbon blue.

PS: wellfare checks coming soon!!! (Tax return month)<img src=/images/forums/snitz/tongue.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>

Centerline is most know for the weekend warrior drag racer, the street rod scene, and custom trucks as well. This is really thier first venture into the FWD market. It looks like they tried with a few wheels some years ago, but it may have been before its time. Judging the current trend I think they have a good shot at it, considering the only other lightweight company I know about is Volk Racing.

As for Canadian availability, I am not sure. Like I say, I don't even know if I will be stocking these yet as they are still new. But if I do, I should be able to have distribution in Canada with no real problems. The closer you are to Ontario, the better.

Two quick notes .... The RPM and Excel looks to be offered in either white and silver, and these are one piece forgings from solid billet aluminum.

True, Volk Racing is one of the prestigious manufacturers of lightweight wheels, but there are others including the likes of Advan. Expect to pay serious money for lightweight, forged wheels. I paid $2400 for Volk TE37's with Toyo Proxes T1S rubber. I have to say Volk makes other designs besides the TE37 that look great as well. The only donwside for some people is the cost. Try looking on (I belivee this is the name of the website) www.carpartstrader.com for new wheels at heavily discounted/ lowered prices.
I remember my uncle had a '72 Chevelle with Centerlines. They were, as one of the other members put it, mainly seen in the RWD scene and street rodding. I guess they want to make a name in the FWD market since imports mean big money now.

I found out today that at this time I am only carrying the RPM in 17x7, Black Pearl finish. I should be able to get the other wheel and the larger sizes for both soon. I spoke to one of my larger wheel accounts and was told that they would price the 17x7 wheel in the area of $400 per rim, with the Volk equivalent around $450 per rim.
