Ok I test drove the decked out 2003 GT and as far as performance I was impressed. One major problem. This car should not have been built w/a back seat. It even had a warning that said "Do not close hatch when passengers are in back seat." <-- not an exact quote but exactly what it meant. I am 5'8'' and my head was cramped under the hatch. My buddy is 6'3'' and his shoulders and up were at roof level. This was one major concern for me because we all car pool to school and back and this wouldn't cut it. Anyone else w/an 03 see this?????? Overall if just you and a passenger, I would buy one! <img src=/images/forums/snitz/smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>
CRAP! You mean my family of 6 won't fit in there very easily?
I think the target market is for the guys looking to pick up chicks or going through a mid life crisis (and your not rich to affoard a Viper or German roadster). For girls, its to make guys look at you and want to get in the car amoung other things <img src=/images/forums/snitz/laugh.gif width=15 height=31 border=0><img src=/images/forums/snitz/laugh.gif width=15 height=31 border=0>
Though my problem is this car has to be a car for 3 people and my bro is about 5'10. He gets his full drivers license and well he is going to have to put up with it, cause well in the fall I will buy him a 2002-2003 Elantra sedan and thats why I think he is in full favour of this decision. That or I will kick his butt.
Smiley" YOU TALKING TO ME?"<img src=/images/forums/snitz/smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0><img src=/images/forums/snitz/smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>... I been going thru a mid life crisis since I got my driver's lic at 18, way back when Dino's roamed the world.<img src=/images/forums/snitz/smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0> Hell I always had budget racers from my 1st car, a 73' Datsun 240Z.<img src=/images/forums/snitz/cool.gif width=15 height=15 border=0><img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0>
Just wanted to point out it's not a "2003 model problem", as all Tiburons have this <img src=/images/forums/snitz/wink.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>
Just do like me, crank up the music and you won't hear them complaining! <img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0><img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0>
Danno, its not a problem, its an added feature<img src=/images/forums/snitz/smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0><img src=/images/forums/snitz/smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0><img src=/images/forums/snitz/smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>. It sure gets me out from being a "TAXI",,,,,<img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0><img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0><img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0>

Look at the hyundai website. They show the backseat and front seat passengers.
The car is for you (the driver)
The short spunky chick behind you
the not so short Hottie next to her
and the Big Busted long legged blond next to you.
Hmm that makes 4.
Works for me.
The reason why they tell you not to close the hatch while people are in the back seat because if they're all enough and you slam the hatch their heads will go right thru the glass. (I'd almost pay to see that happen to someone, lol!) It's not a space issue as much as it is an issue with hatchbacks.
