Default New info about 2003 tib clutch.

Well my adventure goes on about getting my clutch fixed. I drive to tuscaloosa jsut to get my car only to find out they dont have it fixed. AND they tell me its gonna be another few days. The flywheel was sdamaged too and they couldnt get a machine shop to fix it. She showed me the old flywheel and it didnt have much damage jsut a small ding. BUT i picked it up the fvcker was HEAVY it must have weighed aobut 35 lbs. If i had the money id tell them to send it to the machine shop to shave some weight off that thing. but idont have that money right now. but In case anyone wanted to know how much a stock flywheel is for the new tib. Just over $1000, and i wanted to let all of you know taht it was a heavy bastage.

Do they have any idea why it failed so fast? I'm sure they have some opinions on it. Let us know.

Just found out somebody in Korea had same clutch problem. The reason they said was that they are using same clutch for I4 and V6 and clutch couldn't handle the power that went through. I am not sure what that means since I am not into mechanical stuff yet, but they did have same problem there. By the way, flywheel costs $300 in Korea.. perhaps shipping cost 700 bucks? imported parts are too expensive

Hmmmmmmmm well if thats so then Hyundai needs to do a fix for that because there are gonna be some pissed Tiburon owners. Including me. I dont want to have to deal with this sh!t everytime my clutch fails. Guess we will see.
