Default MOVED: 17.0 1/4 mile at the track

hey whats up everyone, im new here... i couldn't run under a 17 at the track in my 03 tibby does anyone know what im doing wrong.... please help....<img src=/images/forums/snitz/angry.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>

What size motor do you have, I4 or V6?
Is your car Auto or stick?

Kaotick,
Have you put on enough miles to get through the break in period for the motor? Just curious. I don't know anything about automatics so I can't help you out with any tips. Doesn't seem like it should be anywhere close to that slow though.

umm.....should run like 15's dude..... or low 16's since it's auto.......what ur doing wrong is running the car when ti's brand new and still having stock parts

what was your reaction time? were you using the shiftronic? if so do you know how to use it? if not how was your start? was it sluggish?

Post your timeslip! We need your trap speed,60', r/t, etc. before we can really draw a conclusion.
And what kind of technique were you using to launch? Also, did you get a lot of spin or were you able to hook good?

gee. the sport compact car magazine got like 15.6 1/4 mile time. maybe u are pusing the brake pedal instead of the gas? just jokin. ill have to take your word for the time though, i personally suck at draggin - i havent been back since i blew a tire on my old hot rod chevy truck doing a burnout. talk about embarassing. oh well.
