Default Sentra Spec V or Tiburon GT

Hey Everyone, I'm going to buy a new car in the next three months. I narrow the list of cars I was thinking of buying to Two cars. What do you guys think? I'm think about The New Tiburon GT package 3 or the Sentra Spec V. Both cars are close in price and offer a lot for the money. I had my mind set on the Tibby but now I hear about the clutch problems and I'm considering the Spec V again. So if you guys can shed some light on my issue that can be very helpful.
Thanks and Talk to you guys later. thumbup:

I went thru the same prob, I was looking at Sentra SpecV , Altima SE, and 03 Tib V6. Decided on the Tib. Reason: "I AM NOT READY FOR A F*CHING 4 DOOR SEDAN"<img src=/images/forums/snitz/cool.gif width=15 height=15 border=0> The ALTIMA SE was the fastes but man its BIG, Sentra Spec V didnt see any on dealer lots. SpartCompactcar made the decision for me, Sentra is a parts bin car fron NISSAN, fast but not really refined. SO I orders the Tib.<img src=/images/forums/snitz/smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>

The new Altima is the better car out of the 3. I would rate them as follows:

Altima
Tibby
Sentra

I like the Tibby. If I didn't have my Z28 I wouldn't mine one.

The remark about the parts car is not really fair. Just because a car is made from the parts of other models has nothing to do with its 'quality'. Pretty much every manufacture does this. The Sentra is a solid car, but in my opinion is quite there with the other sport compacts yet.

The four door comment.....so you are saying you don't want something that is EASY to get into that is faster than most cars in it's

Oh hell yeah, if there was any car out there that was realistically a car to buy that would be the Altima. But I don't have the $25,000 or so to get what I want on the car. The Sentra Spec V and Tib are balls out cars that offer a lot of power and a 6 speed under $20,000. The 4 door is something I could do without but it is also nice to have. The Spec V is probably the same size if not smaller than the Tib. The V6 in the Tib can't be matched in any car in its class and out of. My friend just got the RSX Type S and its a sweet car but you have to "Drive it Like you Hate It" because of the high output 4. Thats what I love about the Tib, you have a lot of power and don't have to push it to feel it. The Spec V is the same, its still a 4 but you don't have to Rev it over 5,000 rpm to get it moving.<img src=/images/forums/snitz/smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>

I say if you're married get the Sentra SE-R Spec V. If you're single, go with the Tiburon GT.

Theres only one thing I know, the wife ain't gonna be cool with a sports coupe as a family car!

Personally, I'd go with the Tiburon. It looks better and offers almost the exact same performance. Except for the fact that the Spec V has a limitedslip...

Tiburon for sure.

I sat in the V-Spec for the first time a couple weeks ago at the Autoshow.

Interior is crap, my friends early 90's Tercel has a similar look as the Sentra's interior, except the seats. I like the Tercel seats much better then the 'sporty' Sentra's.

Tiburon according to SCC even out performs the V-Spec. Stereo sounds better in the top of the line GT (GS-R) Tiburon.

I was considering the V-Spec but I think the thing that majorly turned me off was the interior. Otherwise I would have had a hard choice. It would have come down to 2 or 4 doors.

Well, the Altima was very competative in price to the GS-R Tib in Canada. Its just soooooo BIIIIIIIIG.<img src=/images/forums/snitz/smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0> Theres more to how a car feels then 0-60 or 1/4 mile times. A car got to feel as a whole. The Tib has that feeling, its a well put together package. Yes the speed times could be better, it could loose 200LBs are so, use more HP, and a better warranty in Canada (like the US one). Better choice of how it can be configued in Canada as the US GT's.<img src=/images/forums/snitz/mad.gif width=16 height=16 border=0> So far two of my friends have come to the same conlusion that the Tib was going to be their car, One trade in his Intregra and the other his BMW.<img src=/images/forums/snitz/cool.gif width=15 height=15 border=0> 4 doors just didnt do it for me, just could not get a sedan (unless its a WRX)<img src=/images/forums/snitz/evil.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>
