Default Auto Shift...Good or Bad

Can anyone tell me what they think about the autoshift for the new Tib. Is it just as good as standard and just as fast or is it bullshit and pure standard is the only way to go?

The Auto shift is a dumby stick. Its a nice little feature if you don't know stick and don't plan too. My one friend has an base RSX, it has the auto shift. It's amusing to see him use the auto shift as a regular stick cause it really doesn't do much. The auto shift also does all the down shifting for you and if you don't swift gears when suppose to it will do it for you. My dad bought the 2002 Sonata with the same V6 and same auto shift. There is a quicker responds with the auto shift but it only has 4 gears. So if your looking for the performance side of the Tib, get the stick. If you don't want stick shift and really don't care for performance numbers than you will be happy with the Auto Shift, just don't be like my friend and act like you have a real stick shift cause that looks real silly. Hope I helped and Talk to you later

go with the xg350

it has 5 gears on the shifttronic hehe

i dojn't like it, and if you don't know how to specifically use it, you'll not gain a second and probably hurt vs. just sticking it into drive...

Shiftronic is a gimmic to make the automatic seem sportier to people who can't deal with learning how to drive a manual.

I've had mine for two weeks, still breaking it in, but will say that I've dropped down to 1st a few times and am very surprised at the quick speed. The shifter is + or -, depending on what gear you're in and you shift per your RPMs.....YEAAH, it's fast.
