Eh, might be a fuse behind the speedo like my J2. Just tore out the fuse, and no more 115 mph crap. Straight to 140+

The only thing that stops my tibby is the rev limiter. Mine never came with a governer. Are you drag racing in a fith gear roll or something?

Remove your gauge cluster. Then take it apart. Dont touch the needles. Behind the cluster there are bolts, and you can remove the speedo itself. Right on the bottom, under the grears and odometer, is a little glass tube that goes from on side to the other. Just rip that out. Then reinstal. Poof.

Whats your limiter at? Mine was 115. If your over that.. then its not a limiter i think, probally drag and lack of horsepower.

Spark limiter for redline, fuel cutoff for limiter. I think.. or its spark for both. Dont remember a poof bang or anything after you hit it, so ima thinking fuel for the limiter.

I know in some cars if you cut the white wire in behind ur guage cluster and put a on off swith there you will stop the govener but also when u push the button it will shut off ur speedo so ur over ride it but you cant see how fast your going

works for a cavalier but i dont kno about anything else
