Ah. it's you again. I hope you are not here to make a flames about new tivs you hate.. I wouldn't say much of resale value of the new tiburons just yet. They are just out on the market for around 2 month is it? I don't see any used car out yet. But as for older gen tibs, resale values are better than average where I live. I even see some 1 gen tib at 15000. now that's pretty good value I say... that's all I can say about it.

But.. Leasing? I thought you were asking for a finance.. You just gotta give it back to the dealer once your lease expires.. seems like you are just here to make some more flames..

hmm sorry i mean the "residual value" not resale value. It is an important factor that determines your monthly payment. Tuscani is a great looking sports coupe and my friend is deciding between that and an Acura RSX and Celica. My friend couldnt afford to loan or buy so he's just gonna lease.

This is in no way a flame.

good question but an uncommon one but i found out firsthand... i had to opt to leasin the tib instead of purchasin for a multitude of reasons, with of course finances being the most important; but anyway there were a few dealers that were willin to tell me a lease was possible over the phone. However once on the lot, their stories quickly change. Hyundais in general arent a very good brand to lease, main reasons being the warranty, and juss their prices. Gettin to the point now, the reason why the dealer said a lease wasnt possible yet was cuz there was NO residual value on the cars yet therefor it would have to wait a few more months until the cars have been rated by the people that do that i guess.. but if this extra bit of info helps at all, one dealership gave me this offer before i left: $1,750 down $350/month for 48 months... get the fvck outta here.... nice car but not that nice

New to the forum (and Hyundai) but...

I bought a '03 GT Last night with the Ultra 3 package. Paid right around $21K for the car. They issued the same statement, that the car is too new to lease. But they also said that few people ask to lease such inexpensive cars.

And if anyone cares - I actually traded my Lexus in for it - there's a testimonial for you.

What kind of Lexus? If you say IS300, I will have no choice but to kill you.

No - An ES300. I think my next car after the Tib will be an IS - when I can afford it (or hopefully afford it). The Lexus was a nice grown up ride - but the Tib is a hell of lot more fun to drive.

I bought my new Tib as a project car for the store. If I hadn't been involved in this business I was looking at the IS or the WRX.
